A virtual future in education?

After the COVID-19 pandemic, education took a 180-degree turn. Where the majority of students turned their 4-wall classrooms into technological classrooms. As a result, online education was born, where most teachers and students had to adapt to interacting through a technological device.

Due to all the facts already exposed, the future of education will be the same. That is to say, teachers and students will develop more platforms to share knowledge; nowadays, most people have an electronic device or even consider the Internet an essential service. In the future, the use of TICS will be better suitable and better managed by teachers and students.

As we know today, all educational systems depend on the method, strategies, and techniques that are applied in the classroom. Therefore, education in the future will be the same; however, the methods will improve, the strategies will be managed remotely, and the techniques will depend on the willingness to teach and learn.

As a principle for education, the main actor must be taken into account, which is the student. However, in spaces such as classrooms, knowledge usually depends on what the teacher teaches. On the contrary, with online education, students will look for ways to learn and not just be traditional learners.

To sum up, the future of education will depend on how advanced the technology is since most students will seek to study online to save money, or even because they believe it is better to learn that way. On the other hand, teachers will be more creative and stop using traditional methods with boring activities.
